Obergiesing Soccer Complex - 16 Acres

Located along the Great Miami River on East Miami River Road, one mile southwest of Blue Rock Road, Obergiesing Soccer Complex, formerly known as Dravo Park, was formerly home to four baseball fields that were used by local baseball teams Monday-Saturday. Because of a shortage of soccer fields in the Township, the baseball fields are turned into soccer fields every Sunday. Placing soccer goals on top of baseball fields, with their infield dirt, is hardly an ideal playing situation for our soccer enthusiasts. With a new park being developed further down on East Miami River Road, the Board of Trustees seized the opportunity to install baseball fields that will be solely used for baseball at the new park, and to dedicate the fields at Dravo exclusively to soccer once the new park is complete. Construction on the Heritage Park baseball fields began in August of 2006. Conversion of Dravo to the Obergiesing Soccer Complex followed shortly thereafter and was complete in October 2006.

Canoe Ramps Open!

Thanks to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft's Cooperative Boating Facility Grant, Obergiesing Soccer Complex (Dravo Park) is home to one of two new canoe ramps on the Great Miami River in Colerain Township!

Heritage Park
11405 East Miami River Road - 126 Acres

One mile southwest of Ross Bridge, along the Great Miami River and adjacent to the Historic Dunlap Station Cemetery.

The park is flat with one mile of river frontage and is home to an abundance of wildlife species. The river frontage provides both water recreational opportunities. The flat topography allows for both active sport fields and passive recreational activities coexisting with the greenspace environment of the Great Miami River. The land is reported to be the site of Fort Coleraine, the scene of a fierce Indian attack on Colerain settlers in the 1790's. Ground breaking for the park took place August 26, 2004. Walking trails were opened on September 6, 2005 and the canoe ramp was completed in January 2006.
